As a child, son of a high level amateur violinist, I used to spend hours listening to classical music in front of a giant (for me!) stereo console in our living room.
As a teenager I was introduced to rock music through the Beatles, the Kinks, etc. then harder bands like Led Zeppelin, Cream, Deep Purple, until I finaly discovered progressive rock, blending my childhood listening with rock music, and contemporary classical music.
I have never been comitted to one style more than another.
This is why I decided, as a young adult, to be a contemporary composer as well as a rock musician.
