12 pieces for solo electric guitar

The works presented on this album, composed between 1996 and 2021 are the result of a reflexion about the electric guitar techniques with a view to broadening its repertoire, from popular music such as rock or even jazz, to contemporary music, the latter using the electric guitar still often as a cliché: distorted sounds, violence, electronic sound effects.
The technique of the electric guitar, while similar to that of the classical guitar, has its own specificities, such as the use of the plectrum, the balance between pickups or the natural effects that can be obtained through amplification. The metal strings can produce a wide variety of dynamics.

12 pieces for solo electric guitar is an album made of studies (Etudes) addressing different angles of the electric guitar technique, as well as compositions, mainly contemporary classical, for this instrument.
The Etudes have been composed in relation to specific techniques, such as string-skipping, plectrum attack, intervals or special tunings (New Standard Tuning), but are nevertheless compositions in their own rights. Only the Etude n° 3 on arpeggios is not included in the album, being more of an exercise, but is part of the sheet music book.
